India won the 2024 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, defeating South Africa in the final. Jasprit Bumrah was the key player who helped India overcome South Africa’s challenge and clinch the title.
South Africa were in a strong position in the final, needing 30 runs off the last 30 balls with 6 wickets in hand. However, Bumrah’s brilliant bowling in the 16th and 18th overs turned the match in India’s favor. He conceded just 4 runs in the 16th over and then clean bowled Marco Jansen in the 18th over to restrict South Africa’s scoring.

Bumrah finished the tournament as the third highest wicket-taker with 15 wickets at an exceptional economy rate of 4.17. He was rightly adjudged the Player of the Tournament for his match-winning performances. Bumrah’s ability to read the game and execute his skills under pressure proved to be the difference between the two teams in the final.
