Kalki 2898 AD, the sci-fi epic starring Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, and Kamal Haasan, has surpassed the lifetime box office collections of Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan in India within 15 days of its release.
After its second week, Kalki 2898 AD has collected ₹543.35 crore nett at the Indian box office, exceeding Pathaan’s lifetime domestic earnings of ₹543.09 crore. This makes Kalki 2898 AD the sixth highest-grossing Indian film of all time in the country.

The film has performed exceptionally well, particularly in the Telugu market where it has earned ₹253.75 crore nett, and the Hindi market which contributed ₹232.9 crore nett to the overall collections. On its 16th day, Kalki 2898 AD crossed the ₹1000 crore mark in worldwide box office collections.
Amitabh Bachchan, who stars in the film, celebrated this milestone, calling it “quite amazing” in a tweet. The film’s success has solidified its position as the biggest Indian hit of 2024 so far, surpassing other notable releases like Fighter.
