The producers of the John Wick franchise, including Chad Stahelski, Jason Spitz, and Alex Young of 87Eleven Entertainment, are developing an English-language remake of the upcoming Indian action thriller film Kill.
The original Hindi-language Kill, directed by Nikhil Nagesh Bhat and produced by Dharma Productions and Sikhya Entertainment, is set to release in India on July 5. The film had its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival’s Midnight Madness section and was later featured at the Tribeca Film Festival.

Kill tells the story of an Indian Army commando named Amrit (played by Lakshya) who races against time and armed adversaries on a New Delhi-bound train to rescue his beloved Tulika (Tanya Maniktala). The film has been praised for its intense action sequences and emotional depth.
The producers of the English remake, including Karan Johar and Apoorva Mehta of Dharma Productions, expressed enthusiasm for the collaboration, noting the film’s warm reception from North American audiences during festival screenings. The remake aims to capture the essence of the original while introducing it to a broader English-speaking audience familiar with Lionsgate’s history of action films.
