Pooja Entertainment, run by Jackky Bhagnani and his father Vashu Bhagnani, is facing a major financial crisis due to the failure of their recent films like Bell Bottom, Mission Raniganj, Ganapath, and the big-budget Bade Miyan Chote Miyan. The production house has reportedly sold its seven-story office to settle a debt of Rs 250 crore.
In the midst of this crisis, actor Akshay Kumar, who starred in Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, has stepped in to help. Kumar has asked Jackky Bhagnani to hold his payment for the film until the entire cast and crew have been paid. In an official statement, Jackky expressed gratitude for Akshay’s understanding and willingness to support them during this challenging time.

Several actors from Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, including Sonakshi Sinha, Tiger Shroff, Alaya F, and Manushi Chhillar, are yet to receive their payments. The Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) president also claimed that Vashu Bhagnani owes over ₹65 lakh to crew members who worked on three of his films.
To revive the company, Pooja Entertainment has reduced its operational activities and terminated nearly 80 percent of its staff. The Bhagnani family has relocated their operations to a two-bedroom flat in Juhu.
