Yuvraj Singh smashed 4 fours and 5 sixes during his knock, propelling the India champions to a massive score of 254/6 in their 20 overs. Apart from Yuvraj’s heroics, Robin Uthappa scored 65 off 35 balls to get the team off to a terrific start. The Pathan brothers, Irfan and Yusuf, then provided the perfect finish with a 95-run stand off just 35 balls.

Yuvraj Singh has a history of delivering match-winning performances against Australia in knockout fixtures. He played a pivotal role in India’s victories over Australia in the 2007 T20 World Cup semi-final, the 2011 ODI World Cup quarter-final, and the 2007 ICC Knockout Cup quarter-final. His ability to rise to the occasion against the Aussies was on full display once again in the WCL 2024 semi-final.
