Jasprit Bumrah of India was named the ICC Men’s Player of the Month for June 2024 after his stellar performances during the T20 World Cup in the USA and West Indies.
The 30-year-old fast bowler took 15 wickets at an average of 8.26 and an economy rate of 4.17 to help India win their first T20 World Cup title since 2007. He was named Player of the Tournament, joining Virat Kohli as the only Indian players to achieve this feat.

Jasprit Bumrah edged out his Indian captain Rohit Sharma and Afghanistan’s Rahmanullah Gurbaz for the monthly award. He was at his best throughout the tournament, taking crucial wickets at key moments, including 3/6 against Ireland, 3/14 against Pakistan, 2/12 in the semi-final against England, and 2/18 in the final against South Africa.
Upon receiving the award, Bumrah expressed his delight, saying: “It’s a special honour for me following a memorable few weeks spent in the USA and West Indies. We have had a lot to celebrate as a team, and I’m delighted to be able to add this personal accolade to the list.”
