Bobby Deol has revealed that Salman Khan played a crucial role in helping him during a low phase in his career.
Salman Khan offered Bobby Deol a role in the 2018 film Race 3 when Bobby was struggling to get work. Salman told Bobby, “Dekh jab mera career thik nahi chal raha tha, main tere bhai ke peeth pad chad gaya tha, main aage badha, main Sanjay Dutt ke peeth par chad gaya, main aage badha.” [When my career was struggling, I climbed on your brother’s back (Sunny Deol) and Sanjay Dutt’s back to move forward.]
Bobby then told Salman, “Toh maine usko bola ‘Mamu, toh mujhe tere peeth par chadhne de na’.” [So I told him ‘Mamu let me climb on your back’.]
Salman then called Bobby one day and asked him, “Mamu shirt utarega?” [Mamu, will you take your shirt off?] Bobby replied, “Haan mamu main kuch bhi karunga.” [Yes Mamu, I will do anything.] This is how Bobby got the role in Race 3.
